Fair job for a first-time photoshop. Filters and airbrush, yes?

Why don't you use the dodge tool (if any... don't have photoshop) to brighten the center of the "y"? It will give it more resemblence to the video game.

There is a dodge tool - it depends on which version of Photoshop he has but as you said it would improve the picture a lot.

I believe it's a wonderful job Zicka - especially for a first time - dare I ask how long it took?
